Index Worker Basics

Section titled “Overview”Index Worker investigates crawl rates and index rates.
When using it, specify the set of URLs you want to investigate. You can provide URLs with an XML sitemap, RSS feed, or CSV file. Investigations can be run once or on a recurring schedule.
💡 Each investigation you create this way is called a “job.”
By creating jobs from multiple angles, such as index rate by directory, template, update timing, or content volume, you can gain the insights needed to improve your site. Running investigations regularly also lets you understand changes over time, making Index Worker useful for measuring the impact of SEO initiatives.
