Use the Nightly Build

The nightly build lets a workspace use the latest Amethyst updates before they are released to the stable build.

Nightly is a workspace-wide setting. When it is enabled, members are redirected to nightly.app.amethy.st the next time they access that workspace. When it is disabled, members return to app.amethy.st on their next access.

Before You Enable Nightly

Nightly may include unreleased changes. Use it when you want to check a new feature or confirm behavior with the latest build before the stable release.

Keep the following in mind:

The setting applies to the entire workspace.
Returning from nightly to the stable build may stop being supported in the future.
Data may be lost while using nightly or when changing back to the stable build.
Nightly-only changes may not work the same way on the stable build.
If a problem blocks your work, disable nightly and contact support with the workspace name and what happened.

Enable Nightly

Open the workspace where you want to use nightly.
Open Workspace Settings from the left menu.
In Nightly build, turn on Use nightly build.
Confirm Enable nightly build.
Reload the page or access the workspace again.

After the setting is saved, workspace members are redirected to nightly.app.amethy.st on their next access.

Disable Nightly

Open Workspace Settings.
In Nightly build, turn off Use nightly build.
Confirm Disable nightly build.
Reload the page or access the workspace again.

After the setting is saved, workspace members are redirected back to app.amethy.st on their next access. Returning to the stable build may stop being supported in the future.

If You Cannot See the Setting

The nightly build setting is shown only to members who can edit workspace settings. If you cannot see it, ask a workspace owner or administrator to change it, or contact support.
